The Office for Students with Disabilities currently has an on campus GA position available between the hours of 8am-4pm Mnday-Friday, 20 hour per week position.    Please send letter of interest and resume' to osd-cal@pennwest.edu.   

          Maintain confidentiality of all aspects of the Office for Students with Disabilities (OSD)

          Demonstrate behavior and skills that are consistent and appropriate for a professional office

          Demonstrate strong organizational skills

          Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within the OSD office, the university community and the community-at-large

          Assist with the implementation of reasonable accommodations for students.

          Assist with feedback on continuous improvement in delivery of services within the office

          Assist with general business office functions to include: answering phones, typing, making copies, filing, picking up/dropping off mail, and maintaining log of office visitors

          Assist with maintaining a pleasant and welcoming work environment

          Adhere to work schedule by maintaining consistent attendance and providing notice and rescheduling hours in the event of absence

          Communicate any problems or concerns to OSD personnel

          Serve as a model of the university's core values of civility, integrity and responsibility

 

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES: This position will involve some flexibility in scheduling, including the potential for evening or weekend hours, and consistent attendance on scheduled days is a necessity. The OSD work study will respect the standards of strict confidentiality and non­ discrimination in working with individuals with disabilities. Strong interpersonal skills are necessary along with the ability to perform all noted essential functions listed above, with or without a reasonable accommodation. Proficient reading and writing skills to meet the needs of OSD are required. Physical requirements will involve pickup and delivery of documents between university offices and travel around campus. Basic computer skills and competency with Microsoft applications. Must maintain a GPA of 2.5 (minimum), be eligible for financial aid and complete all necessary paperwork.          Maintain confidentiality of all aspects of the Office for Students with Disabilities (OSD)
