This is a relaxed question and answer session instead of a formal interview.  Come to the lounge in Building B (upstairs above the police offices).

Are you interested in starting your teaching career in a large suburban school system in the Washington, DC area? Dave Goldfarb from Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) in northern Virginia will host an information session on Tuesday, March 28 at 4:30 pm on the 4th floor of Building B to answer your questions and speak about teaching opportunities available in the DC region.

FCPS has almost 200 schools and hires approximately 1,500 teachers a year, and there are other large school systems in the area. Dave worked in FCPS high schools for 23 years, including 9 years as a principal. Now, he works in a central office position supporting out-of-state candidates who want to teach in FCPS. Dave has helped CalU graduates successfully transition to FCPS over the past few years. Dave can help you gain an awareness of expectations for FCPS teachers as well as what you can expect working in FCPS schools. The session is open to all students interested in a teaching career.

Interested but not able to attend? Contact Dave at dmgoldfarb@fcps.edu for more information.
