Graduate Assistantship - California Campus
Assist the professor with the administrative work and perform some supervised grading for the AGET 130-001 Introduction to Engineering Technology course that will be delivered during the Fall 2022 semester on MW from 10:00-10:50 AM (Lecture). Labs for this course meet on Tuesday from 3:15-6:00 PM, Wednesday from 3:00-5:45PM, and Thursday from 12:30-3:15 PM. Current number of students registered is 90.
Job Description:
• Attend the above-mentioned class (when possible) and collaborate with the professor on what has to be covered and graded for that week.
• Assist with capturing class attendance each week. This is automated using a QR code but needs entered into Starfish.
• Assist with quiz and exam administration.
• Assist with grading weekly online discussion questions in the weekly forum using a guide and/or rubric provided by the professor.
• Assist with grading multiple choice quizzes and exams using an answer key provided by the professor. Quizzes and exams may utilize Scantron technology. Some quizzes will be automated.
Majors preferred:
Technical Education, Secondary Education, Applied Mathematics or others considered. Having a technical undergraduate background is beneficial but not necessary.
