California University of Pennsylvania’s TRIO Upward Bound Program is seeking tutors to assist with weekly after school sessions held at the program’s target high schools; Albert Gallatin Area High School and Jefferson-Morgan High School.
Applicants should possess tutoring skills and a desire to make a positive impact in the lives of area high school students.
Afterschool tutoring sessions are held for 2 hours each week at the following days and times:
Albert Gallatin – Tuesdays from 2:15-4:15pm, and
Jefferson-Morgan – Thursdays from 3:00-5:00pm.
Tutors must be currently enrolled in college with a minimum of 30 credits and must have reliable transportation to travel to the local high schools. Tutors will be compensated at $12/hr. All majors can apply, but there is a strong need for math and science assistance during the academic year.
For more information and to obtain an application, please email upwardbound@calu.edu or visit us in Manderino 430.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain paid work experience with a federally funded program that serves local high school students.
This is not a work study position!
