Graduate Assistant Position with Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Coalition- Grant Funded: Fall, 2021, and Spring, 2022

Department/University where student will work: This will be a remote position with GA connecting via phone, email, and Zoom. GA may need to work at CalU site periodically.

Supervisor: Donna George, Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education Alcohol and Other Drugs Coalition Coordinator

Preferred Skills: Organization, good communication including written and verbal, leadership skills, decision making, computer skills, experience with marketing through social media. Familiarity with the software program, Articulate 360, a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities:

-Assisting with implementation of PLCB grant

- Providing pertinent information to peer educators and staff on a regular basis to be posted on social media. When peer educators or university staff are unable to post, receiving permission and posting to social media sites frequented by students of each university.

-Encouraging maximum utilization of ScreenU by universities and assisting them with set up and trouble-shooting.

-Developing and maintaining data and assisting with grant reports.

-Participate in PA State System AOD coalition meetings and committee meetings if available, and report at meetings on grant progress

-Assist two universities with the loading of an online education program onto a course development software program called Articulate 360

-Other duties as required to assist with the successful implementation of the grant.

Hours:

200 hours during Fall Semester, 2021 and 200 hours during Spring Semester, 2022. Hours will be determined by successful applicant’s schedule (mostly between 8:00am and 4:00pm)

Pay rate: GA Stipend of $3096.00 for Fall Semester/2021 and $3096.00 for Spring Semester/2022
