Dr. Marcia Hoover

Prior to joining the PennWest California teaching faculty, Dr. Hoover was an assistant professor at West Liberty State College, where she also served as grants coordinator and coordinator of instructional technology and distance education. In addition to teaching in the P-12 classroom, Dr. Hoover has more than 12 years' experience in the development and delivery of distance education courses. She has served as a consultant to faculty in developing instructional uses of technology, developed technology training, conducted faculty workshops, assisted in the conversion of traditional courses to online formats and served as the technical writer for an online courseware package. Dr. Hoover is devoted to the appropriate use of technology in education and in assisting P-12 teachers in achieving National Board Certification.

Research Interests

Dr. Hoover's research interests revolve around the effective use of educational technology in P-12 and higher education classrooms.
